the fire in ijen is getting big , we as tour organizer a bit worry that the volcano fire  will impact the tour to ijen volcano {worry to close again as a few years ago}

Satriyo Nurseno, Head of the Emergency Section of the East Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), said that the fire started on Tuesday (12/9) at 13:22 WIB.

"There has been a fire in dry grasslands and shrubs in the Ijen Geopark tourist area, Kalianyar," Satriyo said in a written statement, Wednesday (13/9).

The fire, said Satriyo, initially emerged from land owned by PTPN XII, then spread to plots 102B and 103A owned by Perhutani.

"Currently the fire is divided into several small points. The fire is spreading towards the relocation location of houses after the 2020 Ijen flash flood, Kalisat Village, Ijen District," he said.

There were no casualties from this incident. However, the total area of burned land on the slopes of Mount Ijen reached 50 hectares.

"There are no victims. The area of land burned is approximately 50 hectares," he said.

Currently, joint officers, BPBD and the community continue to extinguish the fire manually using gebyok and tank trucks from PTPN.
